The team is part of WUR's Corporate HR department.

In this role, you ensure structure, cohesion and a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team. You coordinate the policy cycle and ensure that collective agreements and regulations are implemented clearly, workably and correctly, including knowledge sharing via the WUR Support Portal. You are the connecting link between your team, management and other stakeholders, act as a sparring partner for the HR director and stimulate strong cooperation between your team and the other teams within Corporate HR.

Your work
  • You will lead the HR Legal team and ensure structure, cohesion and a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth. You advise management strategically on employment conditions topics and monitor the coherence with the organisation-wide HR course.
  • You coordinate the translation of collective labor agreements, relevant legislation and social developments into clear, workable and easily explainable policy and ensure that the policy cycle is completed from initiating or revising HR policy to communication with employees and correct archiving.
  • You coordinate the efforts for Wageningen Research's collective labor agreement negotiations and make substantive contributions. You also participate in the employers' delegation.
  • You closely follow developments in the field of employment conditions and translate them into strategic advice.
  • You are a solid sparring partner for the HR director on issues relating to employment conditions and employment relations.
  • You encourage proactive collaboration between your team and the other teams within Corporate HR.
  • You guarantee the responsibility that your team has with regard to the conduct of secretariats (complaints committee, disputes committee, trade unions/employee participation, collective labor agreement delegation) in a correct, timely and efficient manner
  • You report directly to the HR director and are a member of the HR MT.

Requirements

  • You are a connecting, experienced manager with a feeling for people, processes and relationships. You move easily within a complex organization and effectively build bridges between policy, implementation and different interests.
  • You have an academic working and thinking level and preferably experience in leading a professional team. You are an experienced lawyer with the necessary knowledge of employment conditions, employment law and social security law.
  • You have strategic insight, persuasiveness and organizational sensitivity, and can combine this with a practical approach to achieve results.
  • You are analytically strong, decisive and a reliable sparring partner for management and colleagues.
  • You encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing within your team and with other teams, and know how to create a professional, open culture.
  • You keep an overview of processes, monitor progress and ensure that agreements are kept.
