As a team manager at The Process Development and Methodology (BPM) sector, you lead one of the four teams within this sector. In this case, the Methodology team in The Hague. The team is approximately 20 FTEs and consists of highly educated professionals. As a team manager, you are responsible for the daily management of the work of your team and the realisation of the work plan of your team and the sector. Furthermore, you are continuously developing the team and always want to get the best out of your employees, coaching them in their development. You help determine the policy of the sector and thus contribute to the renewal of CBS. You keep a close eye on the outside world and maintain contacts with universities and other statistical bureaus.

Your profile:

• Academic professional background and thinking level in a quantitative field such as mathematics, physics, econometrics, biometrics, psychometrics, sociometrics.
• You are a strong and experienced manager, both in coaching your employees and your team and in monitoring content and progress.
• You have a broad knowledge of methods for official statistics.
• You communicate easily with colleagues, including colleagues from other disciplines and other countries. You are able to bridge the gap between the statistical managements and your own team and sector.
• You have the decisiveness and the courage to take decisions.
• In addition to management skills, the position also requires specific entrepreneurship, innovative action and result-orientation.
• You are passionate about research on methods in statistics (e.g. samples, administrative sources or big data).
• You have a vision on the future of official statistics in policymaking.
• You are a doer and a team player.

Your gross salary is a maximum of € 6,543.69 per month (salary scale 14). The grading depends on knowledge and experience.
