As part of the Communication in Science team you will provide instructions in scientific writing and training in presentation skills to students of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at bachelor’s and master’s levels in English. Within our team of ten teachers you will teach students in small groups, offer individual tutoring to senior students, and provide feedback and assessment on written papers.

Ideally you already have experience in teaching academic communication skills to third-level students; though this position may also suit a new teacher or recent graduate. You have affinity with science communication and experience with scientific research genres. You have a background in academic communication skills, English for Academic Purposes, or rhetoric. You are a team player who is comfortable in co-teaching situations, and you can function within a dynamic working environment. Furthermore, you have strong personal communication skills, good organizational skills and a good sense of humor.
Fixed-term contract: 3 months.
You will be employed on the basis of 24 hours per week. Appointment is fo 3 months. Your salary is based on your education and experience and is a maximum of € 4,615 gross per month for a full time position (scale 10 in the Collective Labour Agreement for University Hospitals).
