The TU/e Built Environment chair of Smart Architectural Technologies is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to study smart living solutions and collaborate in the development of decision-making models for long-term care facilities, in collaboration with TNO and Vrije Universiteit.

Job description

The chair of Smart Architectural Technologies at TU/e Built Environment seeks a postdoctoral researcher to join our interdisciplinary team on the nationally funded projects. These projects are dedicated to improving the overall health and well-being of older individuals in long-term care settings, with a focus on resilience, vulnerability management, and technology acceptance. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative healthcare decision-making frameworks, making a direct impact on policy and shaping the future of built environments for healthcare.

The selected candidate will play an active role in gathering data and analyzing the interaction dynamics within long-term care facilities, assessing how living and organizational environments affect health, care provision, and social contact. This includes exploring the effectiveness of technological interventions and developing comprehensive decision-making models for future long-term care facilities. Collaboration with consortium partners, including researchers from TNO, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, care institutions, and housing cooperatives, is a key aspect of this position.
