The Information Management & Consulting (IMC) department at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) handles the organisation’s ICT co-ordination and demand function. Within IMC, consultants, developers and functional application managers work closely together to accelerate the primary process of the organisation – education and research – with ICT facilities and innovations. We articulate and channel the demand for ICT resources to our various ICT suppliers both inside and outside of the university, and facilitate and guide innovation projects. Ultimately, IMC aims to be the ICT and innovation partner for all RSM academic and business departments.

 

We are looking for an experienced process and information analyst to:

  • help us adapt our processes, systems and applications in respect to new laws and regulations, specifically the new privacy law

  • analyse and translate the business demands of RSM into process improvements, map business processes and identify data flows

  • play a crucial role in our continuously changing business

  • support business owners in describing, improving and documenting their processes, to become compliant and to optimise business value

  • report directly to the director of information management.

Requirements

Required qualifications

You will be considered for this position if you have the following knowledge and experience:

  • A relevant qualification at higher professional education level (Dutch hbo-diploma) in business informatics, business administration, information management or similar.

  • Knowledge and experience in modelling processes and information.
  • Analysing problems and making connections; you dive into the situation and supply concrete solutions and translations.
  • Business insights and IT affinity; you understand business management challenges and provide solutions from a multidisciplinary viewpoint.
  • You can articulate ideas, proposals and information exchanges in a clear manner, both verbally and written.
  • You believe privacy to be very important.
  • Preferably experienced with or certified on the new GDPR law.
  • Preferably experienced with providing trainings and facilitating workshops.
  • Preferably knowledge of the processes within an institution for higher education.
  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English (CEFR C1).

 

In addition to this professional knowledge, we are looking for a meticulous, customer-friendly colleague with excellent communication and analytical skills. You are able to work independently, and you are also a team player. You can take the initiative, make contact with others easily, and have the necessary social assertiveness. In connection with the international character of our team, an excellent command of English is a must.

Conditions of employment

Employment conditions

The conditions of employment comply with the collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU). We offer a full-time contract, initially for one year with the option for extension if requirements are met.

Salary is subject to training and experience, and may vary from € 36,000 gross per annum (scale 10 CAO NU) up to € 66,000 gross per annum (scale 11 CAO NU), based on a full-time contract of 38 hours.
