Job description

Within the Healthcare research theme, we use design interventions to understand, address and solve problems for patients, healthcare professionals and informal caregivers. The tenure tracker needs to develop understanding of how design can fulfill individual needs and improve long-term personal well-being, while also contributing to a healthy and sustainable society, by impacting people’s behavior, experience, and standards in the healthcare context. This tenure track position has a strong focus on prevention and thereby connects the clinical setting with the private home setting.

The applicant is invited to submit a vision for behavior change in relation to prevention. We expect that during the tenure track period the candidate will develop her/his research lines, acquiring new scientific knowledge and theories in the field of behavior and prevention and making use of innovative technology in order to develop interventions that persuade people to make healthy choices about, for example, their diet and to what extent they are physically active, leading to a healthier lifestyle. The vision may include new frameworks for behavior change, systems to remotely monitor health parameters and behavior, and/or design approaches for developing interventions.
