We are looking for a service-oriented individual who has the ability to work in a culturally diverse environment to join our Corporate Communications & Marketing team as Marketing & Communications Officer (at least 4 days per week, preferably full time).

Job description

You will be responsible for assisting in implementing the marketing efforts of RSM. Our aspiration is to continue to be a leading business school in Europe while being a force for positive change. To help achieve this we need an experienced, skilled and motivated self-starter who can help execute our communication strategy to increase the school’s brand image, reputation and visibility. You will be reporting to the Corporate Marketing & Communications Director, and you will be part of a team of marketers, media/PR and website specialists, and copywriters. Preferred start date is 1 April 2018

Aim of the job

Overall: to realise, in close co-operation with your colleagues within and outside of the department, the execution of marketing plans. Specifically:

Make and monitor project plans, define roles and responsibilities, and follow up with responsible people and keep people accountable.

• Realising marketing materials through co-ordination between (internal) clients and third parties, such as copywriters, agencies, studios, designers, and printers.
• Ensuring that we have sufficient, well-organised visual materials which are in line with our brand positioning. This includes organising photo shoots.
• Assisting in ensuring that our house style is maintained in all of our material.
• Maintaining and developing our brand toolbox and digital asset management system.
• Co-ordinating events.
• Various other marketing tasks that are deemed necessary.

Requirements

Education

Educational level at least comparable to higher education (HBO). Alternatively, with extensive relevant working experience you may also be considered qualified for the position.

Experience

• Significant and broad experience in an (operational) marketing position.

• Excellent professional project management skills.

• Experience within the educational market is a plus.

• Experience with visual editing software (InDesign, Photoshop) and digital asset management systems is a plus.

Skills 

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English and Dutch.

• Strong detail orientation and sense of organisation.

• The ability to adapt and learn quickly.

• Ability to take initiative and work independently.

• Ability to work effectively under stress and strict deadlines with multiple projects running simultaneously and consistently meeting deadlines while meeting high-quality standards.

• Ability to develop and manage efficient project planning and execution.

• Service-oriented, friendly team player, with a hands-on and proactive attitude.

• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with different offices and other stakeholders connected to RSM, and take actions when needed.

Fixed-term contract: 1 Year with the possibility of extension.

Employment conditions

The conditions of employment comply with the collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU).

Salary is subject to training and experience and may vary from € 2,709 to € 3,722 per month gross (scale 9 CAO NU), based on a full-time contract of 38 hours.
