Job description

We are looking for:
a talented ambitious lecturer and enthusiastic team player with a background in public administration, governance and policy making. You will contribute to our educational curriculum by: coordinating course(s); lecturing; supervising working groups; supervising BSc thesis; facilitating thesis rings; and facilitating forms of experiential learning such as simulation games. You will teach at least in the following courses: Analysis of a Problem Field (BSc1); Governance and Policy Change (BSc2), and Environmental Quality and Governance (MSc1).

Requirements

We ask for a candidate who:
  • has a MSc and preferably a PhD in the field of public administration or related discipline;
  • has strong didactic skills and enthusiasm for teaching and working with (international) students in a broad range of educational programmes (teaching qualification is a plus);
  • has excellent understanding of the current theories in public administration, governance and policy making;
  • has affinity with the domains of Wageningen University (e.g. water, food, energy, biodiversity, climate change);
  • has good organization skills;
  • is fluent in the language of the relevant courses (English and Dutch).

Conditions of employment

We offer
We offer you an employment contract for 0.8 FTE (30,4 hours a week). You will start with a one year contract. After a positive evaluation the contract will be extended with another 2 years. The maximum gross salary is between € 2588 - € 4084 per month (based on fulltime employment), (scale 10 Collective Labour Agreement Dutch Universities). In addition, we offer a holiday allowance of 8% and an end-of-the-year bonus of 8.3% of your annual salary.
