Job description

Digitization has changed lifestyles and the built environment worldwide. This digital age requires critical assessment of the implications that the changes in data production, transmission and consumption have in the production and understanding of architecture.

We seek candidates that can answer the following questions:

  • If digital information and data are influencing society, then how does this change architecture practice?
  • How can we study, experiment, and learn from digital information and data?
  • How can digital information and data be used as a design tool?
  • How can architects position themselves to use digital information and data?
  • How can architects integrate digital information and data into architecture practice and design thinking?
  • What new perspectives/opportunities does digital information and data bring to architecture practice?
  • How does the digital information and data change our physical reality?

The Assistant Professor will contribute to education at all levels (Bachelor, Master, Post-Master, PhD) in seminars, lectures, and studio education in line with his/her disciplinary background. He/she will lead the development of a teaching and research in line related to the theme of digitization and reinforce links to other departments within the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment.
