We have a vacancy in the faculty’s Office of Student Affairs, for a colleague who will support our Team Exams.

Job description

The colleague we are looking for will:

  • process exam results and execute related procedures at Team Exams;
  • support tasks of the Staff Support Office. This includes recruitment and training of student employees, ensure that scan-capacity is tailored to the amount of work and adhere to the official (quality) control protocols;
  • Support the exams coordinator

We offer a 0.8-1.0 fte appointment as Student Affairs Officer for one year. In case of good performance and equal prospects for the faculty, extension of the employment is a possibility.

Remuneration will be according to standard salary levels, depending on education and relevant work experience, in salary scale 7 (€ 2.261 - € 3.052 gross per month), based on a fulltime appointment) according to the collective labour agreement (CAO) of Dutch Universities, including 8% holiday pay and an 8,3% end of year payment. 

The conditions of employment are excellent. Within the framework of the university job structure (UFO), the position of Student Affairs Officer is in the category “Medewerker Studentenzaken”, level 3.

The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASoS) has about 250 staff members, and about 1,600 students. More than 75% of the students have a non-Dutch background (almost 100 different nationalities). All programmes are offered in English and some are offered in Dutch as well. FASoS offers three 3-year Bachelor programmes: Arts and Culture, European Studies and Digital Society. It also offers six different 1-year Master programmes and two 2-year research Master programmes. Research is organised around four themes: Politics and Culture in Europe; Science, Technology and Society Studies; Arts, Media and Culture; and Globalisation, Transnationalism and Development. FASoS is housed in a building in the historical city centre of Maastricht.
