Job description

As a researcher with a PhD and interested in applying your knowledge and passion in the exciting fields of Food Safety and Animal Health. In this Postdoctoral position, you can contribute to more transparent and objective decision making, and a more sustainable world. You will be joining an ambitious and young team working on economic methods and theories, and their application to a variety of fields in life sciences.

The Business Economics Group at Wageningen University seeks candidates for a postdoc position in economics of animal health and food safety. Responsibilities for this position include contributing to ongoing research projects, teaching and proposal writing.

Requirements

As a postdoc in the Business Economics group you are expected to have:
  • a PhD in (applied) economics or business economics;
  • interest and expertise in addressing the economic dimensions of life sciences themes such as animal health and/or food safety;
  • proven ability to publish in peer reviewed scientific journals;
  • the ability to work in international research teams;
  • excellent (interpersonal) communication and writing skills;
  • didactic skills and enthusiasm for working with students at BSc, MSc and PhD level.
