As our assistant professor in strategic management and/or entrepreneurship at RSM, you join a terrific and exceptionally collegial and international group of tenure track faculty. A group which includes Christopher Sabel (BI Norwegian Business School), Andreas Distel (Copenhagen Business School), Laura Rosendahl Huber (Max Planck Institute), Xena Welch Guerra (University of St. Gallen), Emanuel Ubert (Universita della Svizzera Italiana/USI) Caroline Witte (Copenhagen Business School), Jens-Christian Friedmann (Bocconi) and Patia McGrath (University of North Carolina).

Requirements

Tenure-track requirements for teaching and research

You are in possession of a doctorate degree, or you’re in your final year of dissertation research.

Your teaching workload includes about three courses throughout your tenure track contract. This is similar to a 3-0 or 2-1 workload in the US system, although the courses tend to run over fewer weeks.

Additionally, you supervise approximately 10 master thesis students per year, provided this complies with the norms which our department and RSM use for research and teaching assignments.

In terms of research, the culture and resources set by RSM’s research institute, Erasmus Research Institute of Management (ERIM), aim to provide you with the best conditions in which to conduct outstanding research.

Conditions of employment

Erasmus University has attractive employment conditions. The conditions of employment correspond with the collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU).

This is a position for 38 hours per week (full-time), with the option to apply flexible working hours according to CAO NU.

We have a hybrid working scheme, where you can choose to work fully from the office on the Woudestein Campus in Rotterdam or partially work from home.

Salary is subject to training and experience and may vary from a minimum of € 4,332 and up to a maximum of € 5,929 gross per month (scale 11 CAO NU), based on a full-time contract of 38 hours.
