Job description

Generative AI is a hot topic in education. The VU Education Lab keeps an eye on the latest developments in AI and explores possible applications of AI in education. Our student assistants give workshops to teachers, participate in an AI task force and help develop new applications in education.

Your duties
  • you explain to teachers how best to deal with chatbots and how to prompt them
  • you will give workshops where you will lead the conversation on how best to integrate AI into education
  • you create simple websites or chatbots, for example on WordPress or possibly with Microsoft Azure AI Studio
  • you will create knowledge clips with AI Avatars using simple online editing software

Requirements

  • you are enrolled as a student of Arificial Intelligence, Computer Science or related studies at a Dutch university
  • you enjoy giving a presentation or workshop in front of a group of lecturers and engaging in dialogue with them
  • you can explain AI tools or concepts to beginners
  • you can create simple websites and program in them using php, python or NoCode apps

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 6 months.

  • a salary € 2.618,00 (SA) gross per month, on a full-time basis. This is based on UFO profile Student-assistant. The exact salary depends on your education and experience.
  • a position for at least 0.2 FTE. Your employment contract will initially last 1 year.

  • A full-time 38-hour working week comes with a holiday leave entitlement of 232 hours per year. For part-timers, this is calculated pro rata.
