Job description

Project description

The EU SunRISE project aims at secure Internet-of-Things (IoT), focusing on professional sectors like manufacturing (Industry 4.0) and healthcare. With the rise of IoT and interconnected systems, the additional challenge is that eco systems are much more open. In this hyper-connected world, significantly more attack scenarios are present, not only at system level but also at device level. SunRISE innovations target both levels synergistically.

SunRISE offers a strong professional IoT research community which, in addition to the TU/e, includes both industrial partners, (NXP, Philips, etc.) and academic partners (e.g. TU Delft, Fraunhofer, TU Munich, etc.)

Within SunRISE, the TU/e will work on collaborative network intrusion detection. It will create IoT focused network intrusion detection models. By using methods developed in the project to share information without revealing confidential privacy sensitive, detection models and results can be shared amongst different authorities with similar setups, thus increasing detection effectiveness while decreasing the effort needed.

An extensive project description is available on request.
