Job description

The candidate will actively contribute to the research in the User-Centric Data Science (UCDS) research group, and will be responsible for teaching various topics related to Human Computer Interaction (HCI)  in the “Computer Science”,  “Artificial Intelligence” and “Information Sciences” Bachelor programs.

Your duties
• perform research with a strong focus on HCI, data science and/or artificial intelligence
• develop and teach the HCI bachelor course (and other related courses in the future)
• supervise BSc and MSc Information Sciences student projects
• contribute to research grant proposals
• contribute to administrative tasks of the group

Requirements

• completed PhD in Computer Science or closely related field
• proven track record in academic teaching
• academic publication profile showing experience in research in relevant CS fields

Conditions of employment

A challenging position in a socially involved organization. On full-time basis the remuneration amounts to a minimum gross monthly salary of € 3,545.- and a maximum € 5,513.- in accordance with salary scale cao NU 11 (UD2) and 12 (UD1) depending on your education and experience. The job profile is UD2 or UD1, based on the university job ranking system and is vacant for 1.0 FTE.

The employment contract will initial be effective for a period of 1 year. An extension with 1.5 years will be possible.
