Job responsibilities are twofold. On the one hand, she/he is responsible for outside-in analyses and development of new propositions for our executive programme MaastrichtMBA. This includes activities online on our web site and social media channels but also off-line at MBA fairs and the organization of network events. On the other hand, the programme manager is also responsible for creating a community among participants and faculty of the school’s executive MBA programmes by building bridges between management professionals and management scholars. The programme manager works closely together with Marketing and Communication Team of UMIO, the home of the MaastrichtMBA. She/he can draw on the specific marketing resources of UMIO

 Tasks and responsibilities

 Outside-in analyses and development of new propositions

 Identification and analysis of internal and external developments affecting the executive MBA programmes.

• Analyse the demand of our programme offerings considering the specific qualities of the school’s resources.
• Developing and executing a coherent development strategy for the MaastrichtMBA that establishes and reinforces the relations with professionals as potential clients of the MaastrichtMBA.
• Developing material (website, flyers etc.) for the MaastrichtMBA in co-operation with UMIO and external agencies.
• Support the MBA captain in business developing activities, ie the identification of new opportunity fields and deriving promising value propositions fields through developing the MaastirchtMBA programme in co-operation with its external stakeholders and faculty.
• Ensuring UM/faculty quality standards are implemented.

Development of the MBA community

•  Internal communication towards programme participants and alumni with the objective to create a cohesive and active MaastrichtMBA community of management professionals;
• Serving as a linking pin between the MaastrichtMBA and the Marketing and Communication Team of UMIO

Managing SBE’s contribution to the EuroMBA

• Plans and executes in co-operation with the MaastrichtMBA coordinator the residential week in the EuroMBA programme;
• Acts as SBE’s representative in the EuroMBA marketing council

The required candidate is an ambitious professional who has the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude to work independently but also as part of a dedicated team on marketing & communications projects. The candidate:

• completed a bachelor (HBO/WO) in marketing, communications or a related field;

• 2-3 years of work experience in related positions are a pre;

• has a strong affinity with higher education and especially executive education;

• has excellent communication skills (writing/speaking) in English and Dutch;

• has an enthusiastic personality and positive mind-set;
• has the ability to work independently;

• likes to organise and host events;

• likes to interact with our external environment;

• is a networker and relation builder;
• is familiar with communication tools: brochures, adverts, web, e-newsletters, e-mailings, blogs, networks, social media, etc.;

• is very organised and keen to detail even under pressure 

Fixed-term contract: 1 year.

We offer
- a contract for a period of 12 months, after which an extension is intended
- a gross salary (between € 2.763 and € 3.796 on a fulltime basis in scale 9)
