We are looking for one more PhD-candidate in a project of 12 PhD candidates for ArthritisHeal.

Job description

In several rheumatic diseases, and in particular Rheumatoid Arthritis, B-cells and auto-antibodies are pivotal players in disease pathogenesis as evidenced by the efficacy of B-cell depleting therapies. In the context of this project we aim to delineate the “switches and checkpoints” involved in the activation and resolution of autoreactive B-cell- and antibody responses. We are, therefore, looking for a PhD-student who is acquainted with antibody- and/or B-cell technologies. The PhD-student is responsible for planning, performing and analysing the outcome of experiments as well as reporting and publishing the results. The project comprises of cellular immunological methods, antibody chemistry and glycomics. The analysis of patient-derived sample materials will allow the student to obtain broad knowledge not only in immunology but also in analytical chemistry and biochemistry with a special focus on arthritis.
