Job description

TU Delft continually strives to conduct groundbreaking research and develop new technologies, but we can only do this if we can acquire sufficient funding, for example in the form of NWO and EU grants. It is important that the grant application procedure is conducted as smoothly as possible to increase the likelihood of success. As a process manager, that will be your responsibility.

Your job
You will provide support to the grant advisers who advise the researchers and their consortia on grant applications. You will do this by providing support in the application process and monitoring the progress of the applications. For example, you will help determine which advisers are allocated to which application processes and ensure that the applicants are kept up-to-date.

You will help researchers identify funding opportunities for their research projects by deploying the University’s digital resources, databases and public websites.

You will also be available to answer researchers’ general and practical questions about existing and proposed grant applications. You will keep track of all the applications and make sure that the researchers are going to submit all the necessary material on time. If this is not the case, you will contact the researcher in good time and politely remind them they need to take action.

You will also be responsible for planning information sessions, workshops and training programmes and you will monitor of the status of the application process. Finally, you will also provide input and support in the formulation of policy recommendations to the Executive Board.
