Your most important quality is your architectural knowledge. You know everything about architectural detailing and (effects on) architectural maintenance. Because you have to deal with many stakeholders, you are a strong communicator and you like a dynamic environment.
You also have:
- At least a completed HTS education in Architecture, or a completed MTS education with >10 years of experience in construction;
- At least 5 years of experience in the field of structural maintenance in non-residential buildings;
- You have a command of Dutch verbally and in writing;
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Flexible and creative in coming up with solutions and also planned and structured in leading your projects.
Dutch is spoken within Real Estate & Housing and, because it is a position in which you manage many contractors and consultants where communication is very important, it is therefore required to speak and write Dutch well.
In our international working environment, communication is sometimes done in English. However, this position does not require an English language level.
You can see that there are plenty of challenges for you. These challenges can also be seen as development opportunities. So if you do not yet have the track record required in the vacancy, but do have solid work experience, we would also like to invite you to apply.
This is where you will work
You will be working at the Facilities Department of the WUR, Real Estate & Housing.
You will be part of the Building & Housing Management section (BHM, approx. 23 FTE) that is responsible for the design, elaboration and execution of all construction and maintenance work on the WUR buildings and installations (650,000 m2) on the Campus in Wageningen and at the decentralised locations throughout the Netherlands. Our maintenance budget is approximately € 18 million per year; projects another approximately € 60 million. So plenty of challenges! We do this with the entire BHM team.
