The Operations Research and Logistics group is part of the Business Sciences section at Wageningen University. The group has a prominent international position in relation to its integrated approaches on the interface between Operations and Supply Chain Management concepts and their translation to effective Operations Research models and solution techniques in the area of food and bio-based supply chains. The group's research and teaching emphasizes the development of decision support approaches and analytics tools, and addresses important interdisciplinary societal challenges in relation to e.g. sustainable healthy food production, processing and consumption, food waste reduction, the transition to a circular economy, as well as the logistics challenges in metropolitan areas.
