The SENTIENT project (funded by the European Research Council) develops efficient scheduling methods for networked event-triggered control systems. The research in this project is highly interdisciplinary, involving the fields of communications, control and computer science. Furthermore, the research has both theoretic as well as applied components, performed in in our laboratory testbeds on swarm robotics, water transport, and automotive.
This position is focused on the construction of highly efficient scientific code to enhance the usability of our toolboxes. You would be closely integrated in the team supporting both PhDs and Post-Docs in the generation of high-quality software and graphical interfaces for engineering applications.
We are looking for a candidate with at least an MSc degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or applied mathematics with a focus on scientific programming. Knowledge of Python and C are required. The candidate must have good mathematical skills and must be able to work at the intersection of several research domains, producing both embedded real-time code as well as desktop applications. A very good command of the English language is required, as well as excellent communication skills.
Fixed-term contract: Temporary, 2 years.

The department Delft Center for Systems and Control (DCSC) of the faculty Mechanical, Maritime and Materials Engineering, coordinates the education and research activities in systems and control at Delft University of Technology.
