Job description

We are looking for an ambitious Lecturer in Sustainable Entrepreneurship. You are a skilled and engaged teacher with a solid experience in both teaching entrepreneurship and coaching student teams in their search for opportunities. As part of our team, you will contribute to existing courses in international and sustainable entrepreneurship and help proactively in shaping new programs based on your expertise in sustainability, international entrepreneurship and circular economy. The growing interest among students, faculty members and nascent entrepreneurs provides many opportunities for your career and access to a network of contacts within the university, among contacts with companies and partner organizations abroad.

Requirements

You have a PhD, or you will finish your PhD soon, in the field of entrepreneurship or a related field with a track record of publications in international journals and visibility at major conferences.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 2 years.

The Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management (TPM) develops robust models and designs, to solve the complex challenges of today’s networked society. TPM combines insights from the engineering sciences with insights from the humanities and the social sciences.

The Delft Centre for Entrepreneurship (DCE) of the Faculty Technology Policy and Management of the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) operates in a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem. We provide entrepreneurship programs at bachelor, master and PhD level across the faculties of the TU Delft and serve annually approx. 700 students. Students from our programs who start companies find accommodation in the Europe’s largest tech-incubator YES!Delft and elsewhere. The Delft Centre for Entrepreneurship currently employs 8 FTE who are active in research, education and EU projects. The research program of DCE focuses on  technology-based entrepreneurship. A common, although not exclusive, interest within the centre is the role of technology-based entrepreneurship in society. Technologies in Digital Society, Health Systems, Circular and Clean Energy and in  Emerging Countries open new opportunities for entrepreneurs to pursue and has become important themes in both research and education throughout the faculties of TU Delft. Our centre has a focus on developing new research approaches, methods and teaching techniques in technology-based entrepreneurship. The centre works closely with scientists, teachers, entrepreneurs and policymakers across the university, e.g. Delft Global, Delft Enterprises, TheGreenVillage, RoboHouse and the Valorisation Centre and with regional partners such as World Horti Centre and many others.
