The Institute for Photonic Integration at the Eindhoven University of Technology (The Netherlands) regroups the activities of over 30 professors within the Departments of Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering. We develop new materials, devices, integrated circuits and systems to create game-changing solutions for faster data communication and novel sensors for healthcare, automotive and agrifood applications. For an overview of our research please visit our webpage:
https://www.tue.nl/en/research/research-areas/integrated-photonics/Besides fundamental research, we also collaborate closely with the local and international photonics industry, and we foster innovation through our own spin-offs.
We are continuously looking for motivated, brilliant PhD students to join our research community and help us define the future of photonic technologies. If you have or are about to obtain a Master degree in physics or electrical engineering, are looking for a PhD position, and have not found your ideal project in the list of available positions, you are welcome to submit your spontaneous application though this page.
Your application materials will be made available to principal investigators who have an open position in the coming months (both in Applied Physics and in Electrical Engineering), and you will be contacted if there is a match. Please note that there is no central selection procedure and inquiries to staff members regarding these applications will not be answered. All applicants will be informed about the status of their application at the end of 2020.
