Job description

Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) is formulating a number of projects to further develop and give substance to its new strategy, ranging from the pursuit of new institutional partnerships to strengthen its impact agenda, the development of new educational programmes and the improvement of existing programmes to other initiatives. This role supports and drives the projects that will bring the School to the next level in its development phase, and to further establish it as a leader among mission-driven business schools in Europe and beyond.

Your main tasks
The RSM corporate project manager will engage as project lead and/or co‑ordinator to help formulate project goals and outcomes, manage project resources and timelines, involve stakeholders, and help produce deliverables. They will perform tasks in close consultation with the Dean of RSM and members of the RSM Executive Board. Other stakeholders include the directors in the RSM business portfolio, the policy director and colleagues in RSM's Policy and Accreditation Unit, as well as colleagues in the wider Erasmus University.

The Policy and Accreditation unit supports the Executive Board of the School in the areas of institutional development, quality assurance, accreditations and rankings.

Requirements

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a relevant area with accompanying high-level analytical skills;
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in a relevant position (e.g. in consultancy or project management);
  • Experience in an international environment with accompanying international mindset and capabilities;
  • Experience in the Higher Education or Business Education market would be considered an advantage;
  • Excellent command of both English (C1) and Dutch (C1), both verbally and in written communication;
  • Experience in data management, business intelligence and in the use of office software including Excel, PowerPoint and similar packages.

The successful candidate will:
  • Possess advanced project development and management skills;
  • Be able to successfully function in a complex organisation and navigate through political sensitivities and conflicts of interest;
  • Be a team player and have an open, professional attitude, able to receive and give professional feedback;
  • Be pro-active and take the initiative to continuously improve policy and processes;
  • Achieve results and get things done, sometimes to short deadlines, by being persuasive and/or decisive, depending on the situation;
  • Possess excellent advisory skills to counsel various stakeholders on a variety of issues at various levels in the organisation;
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to make and give convincing presentations.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 12 months.

The conditions of employment correspond with the collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU).

Salary is subject to training and experience and may vary from a minimum of € 3,746 (scale 11 CAO NU) gross per month and up to a maximum of € 5,127 gross per month (scale 11 CAO NU), based on a full-time contract of 38 hours.
