The Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI-KNAW-RUG) and the Generations and Gender Programme (GGP) have a vacancy for a survey data officer.
The Generations and Gender Programme (GGP) is a multinational research infrastructure devoted to the study of population and family dynamics. The aim of the GGP is to provide high quality and cross-nationally comparable longitudinal data to answer pressing scientific and societal challenges on population and family dynamics. It provides data on the transitions to adulthood, family dynamics, fertility decisions, work-life balance, well-being, and intergenerational exchanges. The GGP is currently collecting data in several European, Asian and South-American countries.
We are looking for a new team member who can help with our current round of data collection. This includes providing support to national countries in fielding our Generations and Gender Survey (GGS) and support in processing the survey data. The candidate is expected to start as soon as possible but in September 2021 at the latest. The appointment will be for a period of 12 months. Any extension will be contingent on performance, availability of funds, and the human resource needs of the infrastructure. Dutch law stipulates a maximum of 4 years in total for a temporary contract.
All positions within NIDI are classified according to the University Job Classification System (Universitair Functie Ordenen, “UFO”). This position is classified as Researcher (depending on qualification). All remuneration includes 8% holiday allowance and an 8,3% year-end bonus according to “CAO-Nederlandse Universiteiten” (CAO-NU). The exact salary scale will be based on prior experience and education.
The Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI-KNAW) is an Academy research institute. NIDI conducts research on population issues and informs policymakers and society about the results of demographic research. By concentrating researchers from different disciplines in a single institute, NIDI has become one of the most important demographic research centres in Europe.
