Accountable to: Leiden Study Unit Manager

Objective of the post

Then this position might be right up your alley. For our office in Leiden, we are looking for a Data entry clerk for 32-36 hours/week. If this intrigues you, please continue reading below.
As Data entry clerk, you will support one or more of our Study Coordinators or Data Managers with their research studies in the field of stem cell transplants and cell therapy. You will be will be responsible for data entry and data quality for specific registry studies and may also send the queries to centres, and manage the answers. You will work together with EBMT Data Managers and Study Coordinators as well as with the participating sites. A proactive attitude and good communication skills are required.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Ensure the recording of data collected for specific studies.
  • Ensure the quality of the data entry (Data quality checks: completeness and consistency) and validation.
  • Send the queries to centres, and manage the answers
  • Raise issues to different stakeholders and double check if the problem has been fixed.
  • Report data entry status





  • Higher vocational education, (para)medical fields.


  • Broadly experienced in PC applications, like MS Office, Excel, Outlook
  • Good in English
  • Some knowledge of medical terminology
  • Some knowledge of clinical research regulations


  • Ability to communicate effectively with people in a multicultural/multilingual environment
  • Good organizational skills
  • Accurate and precise. Attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines

Conditions of employment

Your salary depends on your qualifications and experience; maximum salary: € 2979 gross per month based on a 36-hour work week.
