The capacity group Conservation and Restoration is looking for a candidate to teach the theory and practice of textile conservation to students in the Master's programme in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage and the Advanced Professional Programme
What are you going to do
The successful candidate will collaborate with the programme’s current lecturers in textile conservation. He/she will build upon and teach theory and practical coursework in textile preservation and conservation, including knowledge of materials, techniques and construction methods, as well as topics that are specifically relevant to this specialisation. He/she will also teach an introduction to textile conservation in the BA minor programme. The candidate will supervise textile conservation treatment and research projects and provide mentoring and advice to the students following the MA and APP phases of the programme.

Our offer
We initially offer a temporary contract for a period of one year with a probation period of two months. Based on a positive evaluation an extension of one year is a possibility. Preferred starting date is 1 October 2021. The gross monthly salary, based on 38 hours per week and relevant experience, ranges from €2,790 up to a maximum of €5,127. This is exclusive 8% holiday allowance and 8,3% end-of-year bonus. A favourable tax agreement, the ‘30% ruling’, may apply to non-Dutch applicants. The Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities is applicable.
