Department

Faculty of Economics and Business

University of Groningen – Faculty of Economics and Business
The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) has approximately 7,000 students and 500 staff members who form an informal, personal and inspiring academic community; 25% of our students and our staff are international. FEB provides an ambitious, open and dynamic working environment and encourages its staff members to innovate. FEB currently offers 21 degree programmes (NVAO accredited). The Faculty is AACSB and EQUIS accredited and is thus among the top 1% of business schools worldwide.

Career Services and Corporate Relations
The department of Career Services and Corporate Relations (CS&CR) of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) is responsible for a wide range of career services for students, to support them in their development towards their professional career and life. The department aims to foster the employability of the students, with services like internships, student consultancy projects, learning communities, skills training and assessments. The department supports the education programmes in embedding activities that support students in their professional development and orientation. These activities are realized in close cooperation with our study associations, external partner organizations and FEB Alumni. The department’s staff members work in their own task areas, but also together in multidisciplinary project teams with colleagues from other departments and with external stakeholders.

Student Wellbeing
Students with good mental wellbeing will thrive in their studies and (academic) careers. They are more likely to succeed and enjoy themselves. The Covid pandemic has put a heavy burden on student wellbeing. Therefore, the Faculty of Economics and Business wants to give an extra boost to student wellbeing. The student advisors of FEB have a central role in providing support to individual students once wellbeing issues arise. Moreover, the UG’s Student Service Centre offers workshops, counselling and support to students in need. FEB believes that it is crucial to invest also in preventative strategies to maintain a healthy and happy student population. Therefore, we want to appoint an Officer Student Wellbeing (0.8-1.0 FTE) for the period of 1 year to boost initiatives on student wellbeing in general.
