Job description

We are looking for a proactive Study Abroad and Global Experience Coordinator to join the Nijmegen School of Management (NSM), which is an international, interdisciplinary faculty of Radboud University (Nijmegen, Netherlands). You will work on improving the cooperation with our international partner network which help us maximise our global impact in research, education and engagement. NSM recognises the importance of both international mobility and internationalisation at home in enhancing the development and experience of our students as global citizens. As part of the International Mobility Office (IMO) you will be the main point of contact for our international partner universities and you will facilitate our students' global experiences and outgoing mobility.

Your responsibilities may be described as follows:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for our partner universities.
  • Meeting/communicating with staff from partner universities to develop cooperation.
  • Representing NSM at international network events and/or conferences.
  • Leading internationalisation-at-home initiatives in collaboration with other teams.
  • Managing student exchange agreements.
  • Acting as main point of contact for outgoing International Economics and Business and International Business Administration (IEB and IBA) students during their mandatory study abroad semester.
  • Taking care of administration and practical matters concerning outgoing exchange students; organising information sessions for incoming and outgoing exchange students (in cooperation with Erasmus coordinators).
  • Mobility data management.
You will be tasked with the above-mentioned responsibilities. An important part of your responsibilities will be increasing NSM's visibility and reputation by strengthening our relations with partner institutions and facilitating our students' Global Experience.

Requirements

  • An MSc/MA degree, preferably with study or working experience in an international context.
  • An enthusiastic, proactive and entrepreneurial personality which will add to NSM's external visibility and reputation.
  • Excellent network and social and communication skills.
  • Experience in a customer facing role in a fast paced environment, or experience in an international mobility/partnerships/ student facing role would be advantageous.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to improvise.
  • Near-native proficiency in English and Dutch.
  • Excellent mastery of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and professional experience with social media.
  • Flexible attitude, and an ability to cope with stress, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness, ability and flexibility to go abroad regularly (incl. weekends/ evenings) to attend conferences and visit partner universities.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 1 year, with a possibility for the contract to be extended.

  • Employment: 0.8 - 1.0 FTE.
  • The gross monthly salary amounts to a minimum of €2,836 and a maximum of €4,474 based on a 38-hour working week, depending on previous education and number of years of relevant work experience (salary scale 10).
  • In addition to the salary: an 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% end-of-year bonus.
  • Duration of the contract: 1 year, with a possibility for the contract to be extended.
  • The intended start date is 1 November 2021.

The International Mobility Office is part of Nijmegen School of Management (NSM) at Radboud University. Nijmegen School of Management (NSM) is an academic centre of research and higher education, focusing on institutional and managerial issues within complex organisations. There are seven disciplines within NSM: business administration, public administration, political science, economics and business economics, social and political sciences of the environment, human geography, and spatial planning. NSM strives for a multidisciplinary approach. NSM employs 330 FTEs, 75% of whom are academics. Currently, NSM has approximately 5,000 students. ICR is one of the faculty support units and prepares, advises on and implements policy for the faculty dean and staff. The International Recruitment and Admissions team has four staff members.
