The Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, a German organization consisting of 72 institutes world-wide is a leading applied research organization in the field of advanced manufacturing and Industry 4.0/Smart Industry. In 2017, the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, opened a project center at the University of Twente. The Fraunhofer Project Center at the University of Twente is an alliance between the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT in Germany, the University of Twente, and Saxion University of Applied Sciences. It is a young, fast growing environment fully focused on Industry 4.0/Smart industry technologies and solutions for production.

Your responsibilities:

• Support in designing project proposals for industry;
• Work on one or more project varying from short project to projects running over multiple years;
• Develop further knowledge and competencies in the field of UX/UI and back-end development;
• You will be responsible for maintaining internal FPC software tools.

• You hold an HBO bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (HBO ICT- software engineer or Technische Informatica);
• You are interested in the domain of Industry 4.0, specifically in the focus area of Digital Twinning and User interfacing;
• You are good in multitasking, and don't mind working on more than one project;
• You are excellent communicator and like to work in teams;
• You have a great attention for detail;
• You are proactive and solution minded.

Your skills:

• You are skilled at prototyping, developing and testing the front and back-end of applications;
• You can write effective APIs;
• You have skills in multiple programming languages and libraries (e.g., HTLM/CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery, C#, Java, R, Python);
• You have knowledge on hardware-software coupling;
• You have a good understanding of UX/UI;
• You are skilled at communicating the project results to non-technical people;
• You have the capacity to manage priorities and tight deadlines;
• You are fluent in English and Dutch (or are willing to learn Dutch in a short time).
