Are you an enthusiastic and energetic person who can provide the best possible support to our Master’s students in finding, carrying out and successfully completing their research internships? Then we are looking for you!
The Master’s degree programme in Computing Science is a successful and growing programme with four specialisations. Research internships are an important part of this programme and give students the opportunity to gain valuable experience at companies, government agencies, research groups and other relevant institutions. As an educational institution, we want to help our students find the best possible internship placements, subjects and supervisors, and encourage and support students' own initiatives. As an internship coordinator, you will manage and further develop this process.
You are the contact point for students who want to do an internship, you inform them about various opportunities and guide them during the process. You will support students in realising their own plans, for example internships at foreign institutions, and you will help them find funding (e.g. IAESTE, ERASMUS). You also keep in contact with external companies and institutions that offer internships to our students, and you are committed to expanding this network. You monitor the internship process, are aware of current internships, support students who are delayed in finding solutions, and organise an annual internship information meeting. In addition, you help us improve the internship process by developing and contributing your own ideas.
Your efforts will help us guarantee the quality of our teaching. As internship coordinator you will initially work closely with the specialisation coordinators in the Master’s programme in order to gradually take over and revamp some of their duties. Depending on your interest, qualifications and experience, other tasks for up to 0.3 additional FTE (adding up to a total of 0.8 FTE) can also be discussed, e.g. involvement in coordination and design of the bachelor portfolio or in the supervision and/or grading of research internships.
Fixed-term contract: It concerns a temporary employment for 1 year with the possibility of a permanent contract after positive evaluation.
