Job description

The Catalytic Processes and Materials (CPM) group, from the faculty of Science and Technology (S&T) of the University of Twente, is searching for a PhD candidate for the LNG-ZERO project. LNG-ZERO aims at developing catalytic oxidation technologies preventing methane slip in the exhaust gasses of the engine, by oxidation to CO2 which is captured downstream. The project will entail development of novel catalytic materials and reactor concepts to ensure complete conversion of methane in a compact module. The candidate will study the interplay between the catalyst surface chemistry and its catalytic activity, selectivity, and stability. The candidate for this PhD position should have demonstrated experience with kinetic modelling, heterogeneous catalysis, and reactor engineering.
