Job description

Choosing a degree can be both life changing and difficult. In today’s information culture, students are bombarded with facts, figures, rankings and other narratives. The sky is the literal limit: worldwide searches for the perfect programme are not uncommon. How can our master’s programmes achieve and maintain visibility in the midst of this? How can we best show prospective students the quality of our programmes? And, importantly, how do we ensure that the programme and the student are indeed a good match? As master student recruiter, you will lay out and implement an evidence-based strategy to help our faculty address these questions.

Maastricht University’s School of Business and Economics (SBE) has a diverse portfolio of 28 different master programmes, ranging from finance, to sustainable business to human decision science. For the full list of our master programmes, click here.

Your tasks will include the following:

  • Draw up annual marketing plans based on research into the needs of the target group (prospective master students) and educational developments in the Netherlands and abroad.
  • Propose and co-develop concepts and resources such as online campaigns, website content, videos, etc. based on your knowledge of the target group.
  • Identify opportunities for promoting SBE/UM to prospective audiences and to operationalise those innovative ideas and opportunities.
  • Ensure the implementation and coordination of concepts and activities so that optimal lead management is achieved.
  • Plan, measure and evaluate activities and campaigns, and implement proposals for improvements.
  • Liaise with academic staff, programme leaders and the SBE Master Director regarding the delivery of recruitment activities and plans.
  • Deliver high quality presentations about the University and other aspects of higher education both on and off campus.
  • Manage student assistants and coordinate their activities.
