The position
The Amsterdam Institute for Global Health and Development (AIGHD) is seeking an influenza vaccine consortium leader to proactively guide the Horizon 2020 project ‘Effective and Affordable Flu Vaccines for the World (INDIGO)’ project.
The INDIGO consortium is a collaboration of research institutes and SMEs from the EU, India and the United States. The goal of the project is the development of next generation influenza vaccines with low antigen dose and low cost. For more information, visit the project website: https://indigo-vaccines.eu/. The project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation Programme. It is a 5-year (60-month) project which began in April 2020, ending in 2025.
The project is coordinated out of the Amsterdam University Medical Centers (Location AMC), with AIGHD effectively administering the project on Amsterdam UMC's behalf.

AIGHD offers an excellent job opportunity in a cutting-edge working environment in global health and development. Depending on education and experience, the salary ranges from €5.725,- to € 7.642,- (maximum). AIGHD has a fulltime workweek of 40 hours, 25 days leave annually, an attractive collective pension plan and a very comprehensive collective health insurance scheme. The position is based at the office of AIGHD in Amsterdam.
We offer an employment contract with AIGHD. However, for this project it is also possible to work through a consultancy or secondment contract.
