Job description

Are you educated in the field of analytical chemistry and eager to further improve your skills and knowledge? Are you interested in GC- and/or LC-MS based techniques? Do you like to use these techniques to work on safe food and feed for public health? Then you might be the one we are looking for to join one of our research teams! We have a vacancy for (Junior) Research Analyst Analytical Chemistry in one of our pesticide teams.
As a (Junior) Research Analyst Analytical Chemistry you will
  • perform hands-on pesticides analyses in routine and research projects according to standard operating procedures under quality assurance system ISO 17025.
  • be involved in method development, optimalisation and validation for pesticide analysis in a large variety of food and feed materials.
  • analyze, interpret, report and pro-actively discuss results with experts and project teams.
  • be welcomed in our enthusiastic pesticides team. Besides in-depth expert knowledge, our colleagues are characterized by their supporting and flexible attitude. Together, we work on safe food and feed for public health.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate
  • has a bachelor level degree (BSc) in analytical chemistry or equivalent.
  • has hands-on experience in LC- and/or GC-MS analyses of preferably pesticide residues or contaminants.
  • preferably has affinity with statistics and data analysis.
  • has effective communication skills in English (B2 level) and, in case of non-Dutch nationality, willingness to learn Dutch.
  • is a team player with a hands-on attitude and the following key competences: accurate, result-oriented, quality-minded, well organized, open attitude and willingness to learn.

In addition to these first-rate employee benefits, you will of course receive a good salary. We offer, depending on your experience, a competitive gross salary of between €2475,- and €3262,- for a full-time working week of 36 hours, in accordance with the CLA Wageningen Research (scale 7). Additionally, a contract for 0.8 FTE can be discussed.
