In the function of Quality Assurance Officer at the Department of Industrial Design, you will be part of the ESA team (Education and Student Affairs Team) Industrial Design. The ESA team ID is also responsible for organization, implementation and the quality of the education at the Department of Industrial Design.

Education is given in the context of the Bachelor college (Major/bachelor program) and Graduate School (master program). You will be working together with e.g. the Coordinator Bachelor and Graduate School, Manager ESA, Program Director, Center for Student Administration at the department, Academic Advisors and Communication staff members.

Tasks and responsibilities
The course evaluations are coordinated, executed and analyzed at the central ESA Service in collaboration with the department Quality Assurance officer.  Data are processed centrally and locally for the purpose of management information. As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will assist the central coordinator with the administrative processes surrounding the quality assurance process. The Quality Assurance Officer for education evaluation is responsible for the following
  • Putting out surveys
  • Processing changes in questionnaires within set frameworks
  • Generating overviews of results, responses, etc.
  • accurate checking of data
  • communication of data to different stakeholders and closing the loop
  • Managing the mailbox
  • communicating with faculties, taking minutes of meetings
  • managing and filling the Sharepoint environment with regard to quality assurance
  • keeping track of progress documents

Due to changes in education, the range of tasks may change.

Requirements

The ideal candidates would meet the following profile:
  • preferably a Bachelor degree, but at least MBO-4 education
  • quick insight into working with (evaluation) systems and software such as Sharepoint
  • good knowledge of MS Office, in particular Outlook and Excel
  • accurate and independent working
  • keeping the overview of complex issues
  • affinity with higher education and evaluation methods
  • ability to prioritize and to monitor deadlines
  • a flexible working attitude
  • good command of the English language, both spoken and written

Conditions of employment

  • We offer a temporary appointment for a period of one year with the prospect of a permanent contract of employment.
  • The salary will depend on your education, knowledge and experience, and will be a minimum of € 2.376,- and a maximum of € 3.208,- gross per month on a fulltime basis (scale 7 CAO [collective labor agreement] for the Dutch Universities).
