We are looking for an assistant professor who has experience with and interest in fundamental social psychological research. Our new colleague is expected to help us consolidate and expand our current research lines (see https://www.maastrichtuniversity.nl/research/wsp/research/applied-social-psychology).
Specifically, we are looking for a social psychologist who will conduct research that fits with one or more of the current research lines of our section (emotional processes in offline or online (social media) contexts, inclusion & inequality at the group and individual level, and health promotion & behavior change). Preferably, the candidate also contributes new methodological and statistical approaches.
The assistant professor will also be expected to contribute to the teaching of our section. We contribute to the bachelor programs of Psychology and of Global Studies, and the master programs Health and Social Psychology, and Human Decision Science.
The position is initially for 18 months. After 18 months and positive evaluation a permanent contract is possible.
Depending on experience and qualification, the maximum gross monthly salary is
€ 5,439 (on a full-time basis) in accordance with scale 11 of the Dutch university collective bargaining agreement. An 8% holiday and an 8.3% year-end allowance is also provided.
