Employer

About the organisation
The research consortium “Rational points: new dimensions” is a research group

on the arithmetic of rational points, based at the Bernoulli Institute of the University of Groningen, the Mathematical Institute of Leiden University and the Mathematical Institute of Utrecht University.

The mathematical community in the Netherlands is tight-knit. The consortium members interact regularly with experts at universities other than those involved in the consortium, such as the University of Amsterdam, the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and Radboud University in Nijmegen. These interactions are also facilitated by the monthly Intercity Number Theory Seminar, the Intercity Geometry Seminar, the twice-annual DIAMANT Symposium, and the twice-annual GQT School and Colloquium. We also keep in touch with our colleagues in Belgium through the “Getaltheorie in het Vlakke Land” seminar and the Belgian-Dutch Algebraic Geometry Seminar.

Additional information

Diversity and inclusion
The research consortium “Rational points: new dimensions” commits to operating in accordance with the values of diversity and inclusion. Everyone deserves to be respected and feel at home in our research community, regardless of differences in background, experiences, perspectives, and identities. These values are reflected by the three host institutions' diversity policies: GroningenLeidenUtrecht. Diversity among consortium members enriches academic debate and contributes to the quality of research. We therefore particularly encourage applicants from underrepresented groups to apply.
