Job description

We believe accounting is an active agent in a dynamic and evolving social world. And if you share this belief, than you have a part to play at Radboud University!

As an assistant or associate professor accounting, you will be part of the accounting group of the Department of Economics and Business Economics at the Nijmegen School of Management (NSM).

Accounting at NSM is Accounting+. It all starts from the premise that Accounting is an active agent in a dynamic and evolving social world. Accounting+@NSM thus focuses on the grand societal challenges of our times, embraces their interdisciplinary context, recognizes their conceptual complexity, and aims at identifying actionable outcomes. The Accounting+ approach of the accounting group at NSM is evidenced in the full breadth of its activities related to teaching, research, and social impact activities.

This position includes both research and teaching. You will be expected to conduct high-quality and original research in line with the above Accounting+ profile. Preferably, you will show an interest in the relationships between accounting and sustainability, and accounting and artificial intelligence (AI). Further potential topics include, but are not limited to, accounting information systems (AIS), auditing of financial and non-financial information, and behavioural accounting. This position is expected to result in a series of high-quality publications. The Nijmegen School of Management explicitly encourages interdisciplinary research in which accounting is studied from various perspectives, including philosophy of mind and action and neuroscience. You will further be expected to provide high-quality courses in accounting and economics at the Bachelor's and Master's levels, and to supervise Bachelor's and Master's theses.
