The Challenge:

The Academic Services Center of Nyenrode Business Universiteit is looking for an International Affairs Officer (IAO) for four to five days (32-40 hours per week). This opening is positioned within the International Office.

As an IAO you have a strong interest in the internationalization of higher education. Together with the International Relations Manager and program directors you will contribute to the execution and implementation of the internationalization in various programs. It’s an exciting position where you are the linking pin between the programs and the International Office. You act as the sparring partner to program management and run hands on projects to contribute to an international and inclusive university and community in- and outside the classrooms.

Main Tasks:

• support the International Relations Manager and program management in the implementation of the Internationalization Policy and partnership activities;
• design and execution of the onboarding program for all internationals at Nyenrode in collaboration with student associations and program management;
• develop activities to strengthen the international community and campus culture;
• responsible for exchange mobility for students and staff within Erasmus+ framework;
• to fulfill the role of secretary of the International Steering Committee and to organize all activities accordingly;
• translate trends & developments in internationalization into opportunities for Nyenrode;
• contribute to strengthening a diverse and inclusive community together with director ASC and other colleagues;
• data management related to mobility and internationalization policy;
• organize high-profile incoming and outgoing visits linked to the development and maintenance of institutional partnerships and diplomatic relations;
• administrative and operational tasks to ensure IO operations to run smoothly.

Skills & background:

• At least two years work experience at a higher education institution in an international context is highly desired;
• Strong knowledge of issues pertaining to the international performance of higher education institutions;
• A strong and culturally sensitive communicator with a proven track record of successfully connecting and involving various stakeholders;
• Driven and enthusiastic to contribute and co-create an international community that is diverse and inclusive;
• Strong written and oral communication skills including drafting policies and the ability to convey complex issues concisely and clearly;
• The ability to balance multiple projects and have a hands-on mentality;
• Experience in drafting reports, briefing materials and presentations for a range of audiences, including Rectors, Deans and Heads of departments;
• Business fluency in Dutch and English, proficiency in additional languages is appreciated.

• A gross salary between €2.904, - and €4.605, - depending on your seniority and work experience, in the case of ft employment (Scale 10)

• € 850 to be spend with Coolblue to facilitate a home office
• Reimbursements for, internet, working from home, travel allowance
