Job description

Do you have a PhD in AI, Data Science, health or a related field and are you looking for a great chance to bring your research, collaborations and network to the next level? Ready to support research, develop research and foster new cooperation in the field of AI and health? Please join our incredible team in Wageningen.

What are you going to do?
  • help PhD students in their research on machine vision, sensor technology and nutrition;
  • set up your own research and grants, dependent on your interests and expertise;
  • help bring innovative health and AI related research and researchers together.
You will work as a post-doctoral researcher doing your own research and helping guide PhD research, as well as function as a liaison officer between the four institutions of the EWUU alliance in the area of AI for Health working together with the other liaison officers to help build cooperation and form consortia.

Your function will be embedded within the Hungry Robots Lab, within the Division of Human Nutrition and Health.

Requirements

WHO ARE YOU?
  • a PhD in AI, Data Science, health or a related field;
  • you like to make connections and set up collaborations;
  • not necessarily a code monkey, but able to think about and give feedback on high-level coding architecture;
  • you enjoy working with 4 of the top universities in the Netherlands;
  • you enjoy freedom and flexibility and likes to take initiative instead of wait for instructions;
  • able to speak English at C1 level;
  • preferably proven ability to manage projects, academic publications and academic cooperations.

In addition to these first-rate employee benefits, you will of course receive a good salary. Depending on your experience, we offer a competitive gross salary of between € 2960,-. and € 4670,-. for a full-time working week of 38 hours, in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreements for Dutch Universities (CAO-NU) (scale 10). Additionally, a contract for 0.5 to 0.8 FTE can be discussed.
