Job description

The Erasmian Leadership Development programme is a special unit within the HR strategy team. Our purpose is create, inspire, and facilitate new Erasmian leadership within the university. To do this, we will build communities of leaders who will actively learn together, challenge one another, and continuously work to improve their leadership. These communities will carry out the EUR mission of creating positive societal impact whilst also ensuring employees have a great place to work.

As the community manager for leadership development, you will join a new team and help further develop the team culture along the following principles:

We are looking for a community manager for leadership development who will set the foundation for the communities of leaders, build engagement, and ensure active participation through organizing inspiring activities and events. You are passionate about building better leaders and high performing organizations. You are an active listener who is proficient at understanding the needs of others. You have a great way of connecting with different stakeholders and bringing people together in the pursuit of common goals. You are able to manage multiple events and projects at the same time. As a Leadership Development Community Manager, you will:

  • Build a foundation for communities of leaders at Erasmus University Rotterdam
  • Translate that foundation into an action plan with milestones and deliverables for building engaged communities
  • Connect with and generate buy-in with the different faculties and service departments at EUR regarding leadership development
  • Design engaging and meaningful activities and events for leaders to develop themselves
  • Manage the execution and communication of activities and events
  • Take the lead in the communication of the Erasmian Leadership Development Programme
  • Develop ideas on how to scale and sustain the communities for the long-term

You will work from the office and from home and have a lot of autonomy in the execution and planning of your work.

Requirements

To further strengthen our team, you have:

  • HBO/University work and thinking level
  • Approximately 1 - 3 years of relevant work experience in a complex (political-administrative) organization
  • Experience with customer-centered work processes e.g. account management,
  • Experience with networking, bringing people together and building communities
  • Experience working with and/or a keen interest in the topics of leadership and management
  • Hands on mentality, able to manage multiple projects at once
  • Pro-activity, strong communication skills and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Dutch and/or English (level C1)
  • Brave, not afraid to take on big challenges
  • Able to have fun

Conditions of employment

We offer an internationally oriented and varied job in an enthusiastic team, with good terms of employment in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU).

The employment contract is for the period of 12 months for 0.8 - 1.0 FTE. Thereafter there is a possibility for extension. The salary depends on your knowledge and experience and for a full-time appointment amounts to between € 2.960,- and € 4.670,- gross per month (scale 10, CAO NU). The EUR has attractive terms of employment, including 8% vacation pay, a year-end bonus of 8.3% and a very generous leave scheme. Furthermore, the EUR is affiliated with ABP for pension provision, and we offer partially paid parental leave. Employees can also make use of EUR facilities, such as the Training and Development Platform (TOP), the Erasmus Sports Center and the University Library. Internal candidates enjoy a preferential position over external candidates.
