Job description

In the Business Connect Team TU Delft Aerospace Engineering we have a vacancy for an account manager/ business developer.

We are looking for an elaboration on our team. You will be working on the long-term strategical collaboration between external partners (knowledge institutes and industry) and the TU Delft. Linking the strategical agenda to the different research domains and initiating, together with the researchers and your colleagues of the business connect team as well as Innovation Impact Center and other faculties as well as field labs, collaboration in research, innovation, education, campus development, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Create good overview of decision makers, influencers, operational people within the strategic accounts in the field of aerospace and identify new opportunities. 
  • Work together with the different departments, researchers, fieldlabs and faculties at TU Delft - all in the field of aerospace.
  • Create overview of current TUD activities within the current and potential external parties.
  • Actively involve the industrial and governmental partners linking the different themes to create a funding stream with consortia (EU/National/Regional)
  • Get to know the strategic agenda of relevant companies and translate these into relevant questions/links with the researchers of the TU Delft
  • Where possible try to join forces to build strategic roadmap (industry with researchers)
  • Account data management.

Requirements

  • A candidate with good organizational skills, able to take the “spider in the web” position.
  • University level education (or HBO) with technical focus or in the field of international business with more than 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Initiator, networker, can-do mentality, structured way of working.
  • Experience in similar positions in the academic world.
  • Knowledge of the basic domains with regard to aerospace and able to connect to researchers on the content of the different topics.
  • Knowledge of the Aerospace Sector in the Netherlands and abroad; bringing in his/her own aerospace network.
  • Good communication skills as well as writing skills in Dutch and in English.
  • Good communication skills to help translate wishes into possible projects for collaboration.
  • Experience with outlook, word, excel, teams, etc.
  • Team player

Conditions of employment

  • A salary (between € 4.814,00 - € 6.181,00 gross per month) according to the Collective Labor Agreement of the Dutch Universities, plus 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%.
