Job description

Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) has appealing ambitions aimed at training future engineers. At the department Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences (IE&IS), we have translated these ambitions into a challenging education innovation project portfolio. The coming years (2023-2026), these projects will be implemented in our educational programs to make them future-proof. Our focus areas include challenge based learning, active learning, personal learning paths, well-being, and e-portfolio.

In this responsible and varied job, you take the lead in the successful realization of our projects. Together with our Policy Advisors Education you also engage in policy development which is in line with and strengthens our innovative ambitions. Your tasks will include amongst others:
  • Writing project plans
  • Planning, scheduling and maintaining project timelines
  • Planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring the progress of the various projects
  • Financial and administrative project management
  • Stakeholder management of which the most important are our scientific staff and students
  • Providing daily communication, direction, and support to all project participants
  • Reporting to the program director, who is the owner of the innovation portfolio

As a project manager you are part of the team of Education and Student Affairs (ESA) of IE&IS, which provides a wide range of services to support education, such as teacher support, educational quality assurance, student and study administration, support to the exam committees study advice, and educational policy advice. You will be imbedded in the ECI team (Education, Coordination and Innovation) which consists of 2 Coordinators Education, 4 Teacher Support Officers, 2 Policy Advisors Education, and a Quality Assurance Officer.

Requirements

Are you the hands-on expert with affinity for education and do you recognize yourself in the job requirements below? Then we are looking forward to receive your application.
  • You have at least a BSc degree in a field relevant to this position
  • You have ample experience as a Project Manager or Project Leader
  • You have knowledge of financial and administrative project management
  • Experience with policy advice is an advantage, as well as work experience in higher education
  • You are digitally skilled and confident in working with technical tools
  • You have a good command of Dutch and English, both in writing and speaking
  • You have excellent communication skills

Furthermore, you are able to connect people, have team spirit and can inspire and motivate colleagues. You are good at making decisions, you keep an overview in hectic times and you are able to deal with the various interests within the department. You are well-organized, autonomous, flexible, service- and result oriented, and deadline-driven.

Conditions of employment

  • We offer a fulltime employment position for a period of two years, starting with a 1-year contract.
  • A monthly salary of minimum 3.974 to maximum €5.439 for full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience (scale 11 collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities).
