The gross salary, dependent on the degree and experience at entry, is minimally € 2,960 and maximally € 4,670 per month, excluding vacation (8%) and end-of-the-year bonus (8,3%). The function is ranked in the University Function Ranking as Lecturer 4 and the Collective Labour Agreement “Dutch Universities” applies.
Should the applicant benefit from an extensive experience upon entry hiring as Lecturer 3 (growth to maximally € 5,439 per month) is not excluded.
The Tilburg School of Economics and Management (TiSEM) is part of Tilburg University. TiSEM strives for high quality education and research, with an ambitious international community of lecturers and students. The department Econometrics and Operations Research (EOR) is part of TiSEM. The department has about 45 faculty members and 35 PhD students. The department is responsible for the courses in the bachelor program Econometrics and Operations Research and in the three master programs Econometrics and Mathematical Economics, Quantitative Finance and Actuarial Science and Business Analytics and Operations Research. Moreover, the department takes care of the statistics and mathematics courses in other bachelor programs of TiSEM and the quantitative courses in the research master program in economics, the PhD program in business and the bachelor program Data Science. Most of our faculty members have a quantitative background and are also active researchers. Concerning research the department has an international reputation in the fields of actuarial sciences, econometrics, quantitative finance, operations research, statistics and mathematics, both in fundamental and in applied research with societal relevance.
