Job description

Within the Education Service Centre (OSC) of the BMS faculty there is a vacancy for a (junior) study adviser for the BSc and MSc Psychology programme.

The challenge

Would you like to work with students from all over the world? Support Psychology students in getting the most out of their studies! Inform, counsel, guide and make impact!

Students seek your guidance in personal development and study success through a goal oriented and independent study approach. You inform and advise students about their study progress as well as (study) career opportunities. In face-to-face meetings, video meetings or e-mail you discuss and answer questions on (personal) study related matters. Proactively, you make periodic digital study progress overviews of student cohorts based on the study tracking system and Excel and identify issues for study delay for individual students. In case of personal problems, you act as a confidential advisor of the student. You consult with student psychologists and student deans, and refer the student if needed. You assist and advise in requests to the Examination Board and Personal Circumstances Committee's for deviations in their programme. Meetings and e-mails with international students will be conducted in English. Furthermore, you translate signals from students about the programme into recommendations to the programme management. You also participate in (setting up) information meetings for students and Open Days.
