Are you an enthusiastic and engaging teacher of strategic entrepreneurship? Do you know what it takes to build and grow new ventures? Can you inspire your students to make the best out of themselves, to be entrepreneurial, and to make a positive impact...

Job description

As (junior) lecturer in the MSc Strategic Entrepreneurship at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM), you will be one of the faces of this master programme. To deliver high-quality instruction and engage with students, this role requires frequent physical presence on RSM's Woudestein campus.

At the start of the academic year, you will be involved in teaching the students to validate and pivot entrepreneurial opportunities. Later on, you will support students in their personal competency development, and to apply the skills they are taught in a new venture thesis.

In the spring, when the core courses end, master students select a research theme for their graduate thesis that interests them and aligns with their academic and career goals. You then coach your students as they write their thesis. You assist them in developing research questions, methodology, data analysis, writing and other aspects of the thesis process as they work toward delivering high-quality MSc theses.

Your full portfolio of teaching duties is rounded out with other activities such as coaching BSc internships, assisting in the grading of various courses at the BSc or MSc level, or co-ordinating student assistants. Where possible, these activities may align with your interests, expertise or background. For example, if you have a background in strategy consulting or entrepreneurship, you'll have the opportunity to teach or co-teach elective courses on that topic in the spring.

Your main tasks
In this role you will:
  • teach small-scale seminars
  • coach MSc students in writing their theses
  • teach, depending on experience, an elective course in the spring.
