Unleash your potential

Play a vital role in our Science Data Centre (SDC). In the SDC we strive to maximize scientific impact of our world-leading instrumentation portfolio. Our team offers software, tools, and infrastructure to empower scientific breakthroughs and fueling scientific collaboration, with the astronomical community and (inter)national partners. As a dedicated and passionate UX designer, you will contribute to the development of the SDC within our dynamic SCRUM team.

Calling all talented software engineers who:

• Have some experience as a backend engineer on Python-based software for a Linux environment, used in a production environment. 
• Have some experience with relational and/ or time-series database technologies (such as PostgreSQL or Prometheus) 
• Have some experience with Docker/ Docker-compose. 
• Would like to use contemporary development principles such as (but not limited to) XP, CI/CD, DevOps, Agile/Scrum, and design patterns. 
• Prefer to work in a team and connect to colleagues outside your own functional area 
• Have the drive to develop him/herself and grow within our organization. 

Fixed-term contract: 1 year with a possible extension based on good performance.
