The Delft Center for Systems and Control (DCSC) coordinates education and research activities in the field of measurement and control engineering at TU Delft. Our researchers conduct fundamental research that ultimately leads to innovations that, for example, enable doctors to provide better care by identifying the molecular mechanisms of kidney, eye and pancreatic diseases or automatically control the cleaning of our oceans.
We are looking for an experienced project officer who gets energy from working in this international and dynamic environment. Together with five colleagues, you will be responsible for the administrative support of the department.
What this means? You are a booster for applying for research grants as a linking pin between the scientists in the department and the project administration, contract managers and grant providers. You quickly master the rules of the ever-changing grant forms. On this basis, you advise and guide scientists in the acquisition and application(s) of projects and during their lifetime. You maintain contact with all parties involved in projects within the faculty and the university, such as the business controller, other project offices, the contract management office and the valorisation centre. In doing so, you know how to make new connections and your well-developed organisational sensitivity comes in handy.
You have frequent consultations with the department manager and scientists in the department. You provide the department manager with information and advice on the projects and deployment of resources. You think proactively, are meticulous and have an eye for detail. You set the right priorities in a complex environment and quickly switch between different activities. Through your helicopter view, you know what is going on in the field of Systems and Control and within the department. A number of activities will be at faculty level. For assigned projects, active involvement in project management, in cooperation with the project leaders, is among the possibilities.
We are looking for someone who can work autonomously as well as in a team. Someone with a great sense of responsibility who will not be fooled. Your attitude is professional and you exude this in your working methods and contacts with others. You are someone who makes a difference. In addition, we ask:
