Job description
Act as project manager of several European Commission and IMI funded projects. Be proactive administrative support to the coordinator and to the consortium partners. Help with coordination of the European Commission and IMI funded projects’ timeline including deliverables and milestones.
Organize project meetings, check and monitor budget expenditures both at project and partner organizations’ level. Assist in the preparation and writing of the final detailed progress report to the European Commission.

Requirements
You have an academic level of work and thinking, with a background in medical or biological sciences. You are familiar with the basics of project management methods (planning, monitoring, communication, coaching) and flexible in its execution (adapting to changing circumstances).
You have excellent written and oral command of the English language. You are well acquainted with the world of academic research in general and European research programs in particular, have organisational sensitivity and have extensive experience and affinity with supporting and motivating young research professionals.
You are an independent and proactive, customer-oriented, and supportive professional. You are flexible and collaborate inside and outside of your team in a pleasant and constructive atmosphere. You are well versed in a digital working environment and are skilled, experienced and efficient in the languages that come with that domain: WordPress, Twitter, Excel, Teams and SharePoint have no secrets for you.
Conditions of employment
The maximum salary for this position (36 - 36 hours) is € 5.088,00 gross per month based on full-time employment.
In addition, we offer an annual benefit of 8.3%, holiday allowance, travel expenses and career opportunities. The
terms of employment are in accordance with the Cao University Medical Centers (UMC).
Department
The European Projects Group (EUPG) at the Julius Centre of Health Sciences and Primary Care, University Medical Centre (UMC Utrecht) includes a close-knit team of professionals who support the scientific staff in applying and managing European, IMI and national funded projects.
We are looking for a professional colleague who has the ambition to both provide excellent hands-on management of several international research projects and shape the future post-award project management in our European Projects Group.
You will get the opportunity to manage projects in the research group of Infectious Disease Epidemiology of the Julius Center of Health Sciences and Primary Care led by Prof. dr. Marc Bonten.
